~Alcatraz behind me~

Remember this pic? i took this pic in San Fransisco. Behind me is Alcatraz. It was a prison last time. I was told by my dad's fren dat no1 ever escaped from Alcatraz. Its because the prisoners there were given hot baths daily so when they wanted to escape, they couldnt. Cuz they couldnt stand the cold waters of San Fransisco. It could be true.. but today, i found out that there were ppl who escaped frm Alcatraz in 1962 if not mistaken. Not 1, but 3 ppl. I was watching Astro today when i came across Discovery Channel. It was showing a show on Alcatraz. The 3 men who escaped from Alcatraz were Frank Morris, Clarence Anglin, n John Anglin. Calrence n John were brothers. It seems that they built a raft with rubber-like material that were used to make raincoats in the early days. n made 3 paddles out of wood.. i dunno how they did it under the noses of the police officers there but they made it eventually. And so they escaped from the prison n paddled towards shore. No one ever saw them again after their remarkable escape. It seemed that one of da prisoners had high IQ of 133. The 3 of them planned their escape route so beautifully that no one realize that they were missing until about 10 hours later! Some people say that they drowned. Some people said they escaped. No one really knows. So the scientists conducted an experiment. They built da raft and the paddles usin the same materials as da 3 men n see if the raft could withstand the 3 men's combined weight n safetly reach shore... And guess wat? It did. 3 of da scientists paddled for about 45 minutes n with the help of da currents, they reached shore. So the experiment proved that it was possible to escape frm Alcatraz with dat raft they made. But whether the 3 men survived or not still remains a mystery....
